Always try to put your wireless routers in the middle of a central room, which is interlinked to all other rooms with Internet users. Kitchen is place with most metal and electromagnetic objects like microwave and refrigerator. Metals and microwave radiations interfere WiFi signals. That is why, you would have experienced weaken internet signals in or around your kitchen. So it is advised not to place your wireless WiFi router in or nearby a kitchen.
Whether you are living or working in a single or double story building, setting your router on a higher place like a shelf will help it to transfer radio signals in all directions.
