Peugeot once again compensates the buyers who are wanting quality at a low budget. In fact, this bad boy has got a lot of bells and whistles to be called as the dream car. Nice and enthusiastic engines under the hoods are vigorous enough to fly on the highway, that’s quite impressive. Isn’t it?
The new Peugeot 208 comes in the category of small cars. Unique styling and beautiful finishing puts the 2018 Peugeot off the mark. From inside and out, the 208 looks amazing. The interior of new 208 seems one step ahead of the any reasonably priced supermini. As far as the space is concerned, there’s an ample room in the back and front as well. The thing is, the new 208 delivers on the road, No ifs, ands, or buts.
Inside the new Peugeot 208, the controversial i-Cockpit set-up is now much more refined, and for the quick responses, the central infotainment system is more improved. Greater smartphone connectivity and other multimedia features is offered too. With that, the new 208 is incredible.
Don’t get me started; the best part of the picture is power from the engines straight away. On that account, the engines under the bonnet are really fantastic and energetic enough to cope up with the hurdles of the road.
The engine line up in 2018 Peugeot 208 looks quite impressive, with BlueHDi diesel and PureTech petrol engines. If we spend a moment just talking about the diesels, the diesel range gets a big change of downsizing 1.6-litre engine to 1.5-litres. But, the same power comes out of the engine that is supposed to, between 75bhp and 120bhp.
For the petrol engines case, these are all three-cylinders having power around 70bhp to approximately 150bhp, in case of 1.2-litre version. The new 1.6 THP engine under the hood in 208 GTi, hits around 220bhp, that’s not nasty at any point.
Although, Peugeot engines are quite reliable, but in case it goes down, reconditioned and used Peugeot engines are easily available.
Peugeot has not left any stone unturned in providing the right circumstances to get the users comfortable. In this regard, the 208 has pretty much to offer.
The 2018’s light steering is tremendous down the town especially for tight driving and parking in shrink spaces. The steering is swift and the car nicely gets speed, be that as it may, you have no idea of what front wheels are actually going through.
Overall, the handling is nice and easy in the new Peugeot 208 and that’s the thing every buyer pins his hopes on for.
On the highways, the 208 does a terrific job in keeping wind and road hubbub outside of the cabin. But for all that, when the road takes up to get rough, you can hear the suspension working away beneath you a little too much.
As far as the diesel engines are concerned, these are the noisiest, each of three. There’s a bit of vibration and noise under hefty loads.
The thing is, this new Peugeot 208 feels exciting on the road and the new technology has done a phenomenal job right away. So, what are you waiting for?
